Sorted chronologically, the designs form a timeline of my learning progress as a graphics/web designer. To view a design, simply click on a thumbnail to enlarge it; to exit, click the X or anywhere outside the enlarged image. The newest design is located in the top-left of the gallery. Oppositely, the oldest is the right-most in the bottom row. Happy browsing!

2011, age 16. This year will bring presumptively little.

2010, age 15. The year shows some severity of artist's block (and not just in design - new drawings and writings were just as scarce): feeling tired and uninspired, my activity seems to have dwindled to a single layout every few months. Layouts made at the beginning of the year show a more artistic, unstructured approach, but this method quickly runs its course; the graphics become simplistic, and ultimately ebb to taking the backseat to the actual text of the page (whether or not this is a good sign, I'm not sure).

2009, age 14: A year of firsts. In May, I was offered a spot on the web (thanks, Manda!) to be used as my first personal site, Drink Me!, and attempted a sleek, more 'professional' style, which I didn't do much justice. I tried my hand at photomanipulations with more than one actual photo, and designed graphics that were simply for show and weren't to function as part of a webpage. I coded on unfamiliar turf with unfamiliar limitations, such as on forums and Gaia. Oh, and there was a period where I got lazy and fell back to overusing textures. At the end of the year, the designs were more CSS-oriented than anything; overall, it was a year of increasing simplicity, I think.

2008, age 13: This year (hopefully) shows great improvement from the previous year. Thankfully, I seem to have abandoned the preset filters, if not to fall back on them for one or two experimental instances. Around February, I discovered that textures can be used as more than background filler, which steered my style in a completely different direction - it became rough, grungy, and obviously very texture-reliant. In some unfortunate cases, this led to texture overload, which made the affected layouts very unsightly.

2007, age 12: The year of discovery! As can be expected of a twelve-year-old, I hadn't a clue what I was doing, but I couldn't possibly go wrong with pressing buttons that magically bedazzled things on their own, right? So, the works of 2007 exhibit an excessive use of preset filters, preset brushes, and, of course, the blur tool, which were all generously provided by Photoshop Elements 4. There is also an evident overuse of... some tool I can't even remember the name of anymore, but it made everything very bubbly.
